postcards from china

I received four postcards in the mail today! These are from my friends in Moon Mountain Village near Yangshuo, China. I was very surprised to receive these today. I had sent them a bundle of photos in October and a small package about a month ago but I honestly didn't even know if they would receive them.

The writing is from the boy. He told me that his real name is Xu Ru Lin and that his birthday in on April 4th. He got the candy I sent and I guess he liked it. He said the remembered going with me to dragon gate water cave. He asked me if his pictures look cool.

Very cool RuLin. The sunglasses make the outfit.

Also, I'm not sure, but I think he proposed to my daughter. He asked if she was married and mentioned that he was in the 4th grade. If she comes to China, she can call him on his cell.

On three of the cards, he drew a picture of moon mountain. His home is at the base of it. When he walks out of his front door in the morning, he sees it rising up over the village. It really stands out among the awesome surrounding hills.

These made my day, and they didn't come a moment too soon. A kind word from my young Chinese friend really helped to cheer me up this evening.
